Dogodek smo popestrili s kvizom, s katerim smo preverili znanje naših sovrstnikov o poznavanju EU. Skozi celotno prireditev smo poudarjali pomen evropskih vrednot in prednosti Slovenije kot države članice. Dogodek je potekal pod mentorstvom profesoric Suzane Černe, Anastazije Makorič Bevčar in Martine Kobal.

MEETING WITH MRS. PATRICIJA ŠULIN, MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

On 16th February 2018 the candidates for Junior EP Ambassadors organised an event titled »United and Strong Europe«. The main objective of this event was to show other students the activities the school has been involved in regarding European Parliament Ambassador School Programme. Our special guest was Mrs. Patricija Šulin, Member of the European Parliament. She told the students what her role and function as a Member of the European Parliament was. She was interviewed by the students and she answered their questions about the activities, powers and organisation of the European Parliament. She also expressed her opinion on how important it is to engage young people in politics and to encourage them to vote. The students also prepared a quiz and tested their peers’ knowledge of the European Union and the EU member countries. The event emphasised European citizenship values and the benefits of Slovenia’s membership of the European Union, the Eurozone and the Schengen. The event was coordinated by Suzana Černe, Anastazija Makorič Bevčar and Martina Kobal.
